Top 20 Tight Ends – 2016

A quick intro before we get going with today’s top 20.

Today’s numbers are based on the ceiling of the tight ends. I do not expect to get any higher scoring from them in a game than this number. If you are looking for that tight end that can change the outcome of one week, the higher your guy is on this list the more likely it is he will be that guy. Let’s dig in!

  1. Rob Gronkowski – 19
  2. Jimmy Graham – 17.3
  3. Greg Olsen – 15.7
  4. Martellus Bennet – 14.8
  5. Travis Kelce – 14.3
  6. Julius Thomas – 13.5
  7. Delanie Walker – 13
  8. Jordan Cameron 12.9
  9. Jason Witten – 12.3
  10. Zach Ertz – 11.9
  11. Owen Daniels – 11.8 (If picked up by a team)
  12. Kyle Rudolph – 11.6
  13. Tyler Eifert – 11.3
  14. Jordan Reed – 11.2
  15. Antonio Gates – 11.2
  16. Coby Fleener – 11.2
  17. Josh Hill – 10.9
  18. Dwayne Allen – 10.6
  19. Austin Seferian-Jenkins – 10.2 (Careful here, reports are coming from the bucs that he’s in trouble)
  20. Larry Donnell

This is the first Top 20 I have done this season that has the exact floor and ceiling rankings. The difference between tight ends are not that big and the Top 20 is pretty given, I will not pick a tight end too high, unless I can get Gronk. Gronk is the only player, and I know this is not actually saying anything new, that can make a difference at the position.

I will not say too much about the tight end position, but focus more on the running backs on Friday and Monday.
