I want to prepare you for a lot of surprises today! Some of you might feel the urge to question my sanity and that is OK, I felt sort of the same when the numbers first got finished. Remember these rankings are Floor Rankings are strictly based no numbers without interference from bias. Some of the players would of course be ranked higher if we took their upside into account but for now I am not going to do that. I will do the Ceiling, PPR and Score Projection Rankings later on but I will first present the floors for all positions.
All numbers are based on the last three years. In the case a player has not been in the league that long their floor number will be based on all their games. The floor is the least amount of points I expect from a player from any given game. It has a 16 % risk of not being reached. Let’s dig in!
So many great Wide Receivers that did not crack the Top 15. I was recently asked who my favorite player is in the NFL my answer was Dez so it breaks my heart seeing him at 18! But his lows are just a little bit too low to be ranked higher.
One player I would have thought would be ranked higher is Larry Fitzgerald. I would not have guessed Top 15 but at least Top 25. All the way down at 34 is where we find him 8 spots lower than last year. I know he is getting up there but I had a feeling that his floor still stayed roughly the same while his ceiling got lower. But a 0.3 points lower floor is actually quite a big drop when you consider how close these players rank. Fitzgerald is a player I will keep an extra eye on when doing the PPR rankings.
Other notable players to me are Stefon Diggs and Rishard Matthews that low. As a quick spoiler, Diggs will climb 10 spots on the Ceiling Rankings compared to this one and Rishard Matthews is affected by his years in Miami otherwise he would have cracked the Top 10 on this list. Matthews was extremely stable in the later half of last year and had a pretty decent low of 2.6 points.
Next week I will be looking at the Top 15. Those 15 will be the players I will be looking to draft in the top 3 rounds to secure a high floor for my teams.
Tomorrow I will publish another YouTube Video! This time I look at Martellus Bennett and project how he will perform with the Packers based on his skill and their Tight End patterns. The Video will be a little different than usual so keep an eye out for it.
