Hello Fantasy Faithfulls, another week gone by with more injuries to fantasy relevant players. I don’t know if it just me or is this season weird? We have so many high-profile players injured and studs under performing while Alex Smith is ranked as the second highest scoring Quarterback so far. If anyone would have told me before the season that DJ, OBJ and Rodgers would be hurt and Alex Smith and DeShaun Watson would lead the Quarterbacks I would have shook my head and laughed. I guess anything can happen!
Top 5 Wednesday is as usual only a bi-weekly thing so no new Video this week but don’t worry, on Thursday the Score Projection & Risk Analysis is back as usual! Also let me know on twitter @csdfantasy what two players you would like to see in this weekend’s Head-2-Head Video. Let’s dig in!
How is Carson Wentz still only owned in 66.2 % of all leagues on NFL.com??? He is currently ranked as the 4th highest scoring Quarterback in standard 4 points per touchdowns. I would pick him up wherever I can but he is unfortunately for me owned in all leagues I play in.
The same can be said for Chris Thompson, I would love to pick him up in any of my leagues especially if Zeke gets suspended. There are still a lot of really good options out there on the waiver wire and I believe that Chris Thompson is one of them. He has a great Projection for Week 7 and his Risk is not too high.
Nelson and Brown both have high Projections but their Risks are still very high and they are not players I will be targeting.
If I need a Running Back Forte, Kamara and Jones are still out there and very valid options to plug-in if you are running short on backs (pun intended). I for one have been light on Running Backs in one league and might be even lower if Zeke gets suspended as I said above and i will try to get one of the guys on this list or Chris Ivory if Fournette needs a week to get back healthy.
I made 336 Projections with Probabilities for Week 6.
I measure with 30 % accuracy, meaning if a player scored under his projection but the probability was 30 % or above I failed or if a player had 70 % probability but scored above his projection I also failed.
Out of the 336 Projections and Probabilities I had 296 Correct and 40 Incorrect. That means that 88.1 % of all the numbers I provided gave you a Great opportunity to plan your fantasy line in Week 6.
Last week I had a 92.3 % hit rate on my Projections so we have had above last year’s average of 76 % two weeks in a row and we will keep staying above it more and more!
