Score Projection and Risk Analysis Wild Card Weekend: DFS Special

Hello Fantasy Faithfulls, two articles in two days to get back on track. I am getting back to the regular schedule on Tuesday so do not worry about this weirdness. Today I am continuing to focus on DFS with a new team that I hope you will like and of course the full Score Projections and Probabilities for all players that play in the Wild Card Round. Let’s dig in!

This might be a little counter intuitive but i have Tyrod Taylor and the Jacksonville Jaguars. The reasoning behind this is that I expect Taylor to run even more with the health concerns with LeSean McCoy and in that way rack up more points than usual. The usual being what the numbers showcase in the chart above, so I am already confident that he will be a serviceable Quarterback but with tremendous upside. Letting a Quarterback rush for a lot of yards does not impact a DST’s points so having both the Jags and Tyrod in the same team does not concern me.

Two stud Running Backs take the field for my team. Gurley who is in the MVP discussion is extremely expensive but with Tyrod Taylor and Rishard Matthews on the team I had money to splurge on a stud and that stud became Gurley. Ingram Has a big Projection with a little bit lower Probability than I would have like to see but his Point Per Dollar was too good to pass up on.

Speaking of Points Per Dollar, Rishard Matthews, Delanie Walker and Allen Hurns had amazing value for what I Project them to score. I know Hurns is extremely risky but I wanted high risk high reward with at my flex position so he was a perfect option. Matthews and Walker are cheap options for what they bring to the table. The Chiefs give up the most amount of points to Wide Receivers in the league and with Matthews being one of Mariota’s favorite targets I expect him to rack up some points this weekend. Walker is almost a receiver so the same goes for him even if the Chiefs are ranked 24 in Tight End defense.

Ryan Succop has averaged 10 fantasy points a game over the last three weeks so I feel extremely comfortable starting him this week. It would be a dream situation if the Titans move the ball by throwing it to Matthews and Walker then settling for a bunch of field goals, that is the dream scenario.

Tyreek Hill was my last addition to the team. I was first eyeing Sammy Watkins as a cheaper option but ended up with a larger part of my budget and Hill’s numbers are far superior to Watkins’. The Titans are a middle of the pack team against Wide Receivers so no real conclusion can be drawn from that.
